Curriculum
Kidco
strives to meet the needs of children while at the same
time laying a foundation for the future. The
curriculum goals of the program reflect our philosophy
that children are active participants in their own
education and that each child should be allowed to develop
skills at his or her own pace. KidCo
uses a "play-based" curriculum in which
the children engage in thematic learning units. Each
individual unit provides a framework within which the
children can link new experiences with prior
knowledge. The rooms are arranged in learning
centers where children are encouraged to select the
activities that interest them. The integrated
activities in these centers have a primary function, but
many secondary skills or concepts are also taught.
It is an exciting environment that provides fun along with
learning!!
